Dan Dan National Park

Predominantly eucalypt woodland and open forests with some araucarian vine forest present (mostly in Forest Reserve). Logging of hoop pine continued until 1960. The area is important as much of the surrounding country has been cleared.

The forest provides habitat for rare and threatened species and is the southern range limit for a wide variety of plants. Bird life is common and diverse.
